Malabar Chest

The new year began with Kubsa’s first international debut in Singapore, in collaboration with the Malabar Chest and hosted by Seema Shah. Crafted Narratives with Geeta Patil explored the rich culture, people, and craftsmanship of northern Karnataka. The event highlighted Kubsa’s journey, which started with a single weaver and expanded into a cluster of 15 weavers, emphasizing the need to revitalize the textiles of northern Karnataka that were being overshadowed by power looms. A heartfelt thanks goes to Seema Shah for orchestrating a delightful afternoon and fostering connections with numerous textile enthusiasts and promoters.
